Jim obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, and attained his Certified Financial Planner™ certification (1988) and Master of Science Degree (1995) from the College for Financial Planning. He began working at DeLong & Brower as a financial advisor in November of 1999, and has over 30 years experience in the financial services field. Jim holds a Series 7 securities registration and Michigan insurance license. He does personalized financial planning, specializing in wealth management and retirement planning. He has been a member of the Financial Planning Association for over 30 years, and has been a member of the Rotary Club of Holland since 1985, serving as a president in 1997-1998. His hobbies include traveling the world, fishing and reading. He and his wife, Janet, have been Holland residents since 1982, and have two grown children and two grandchildren.
