Elise VanKampen is a staff accountant at DeLong & Brower. She is a Holland, Michigan native, attended West Ottawa Public Schools, and holds an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in accounting from Grand Valley State University.
Her professional experience is with nonprofit and for-profit businesses, encompassing QuickBooks, compilations, reviews, audits, and tax returns.
Elise’s journey with DeLong & Brower began as an intern in 2009/2010, and her lasting connections led her back to the firm after spending 12 years with another local CPA firm. She values the people at DeLong & Brower as they welcomed her with open arms in both 2009 and 2023.
Elise met her husband, A.J., in high school, and they have been happily married for over 14 years. Together, they have an active household that includes three children: CeCe, Hattie, and Charlie, with fur-child toy poodle, Kate. They reside in North Holland and keep busy with their kids’ various activities, including school, church, ballet, football, volleyball, cheerleading, and more.
At home, Elise enjoys the quiet moments amidst her children’s busy schedules, often engaging in family movie nights, puzzles, sewing, and baking. As for the family’s sweet indulgences, the family’s universal theme is “Everything is better with ice cream!”
